Formed of a knob of white, Calcite-covered matrix, it is then encrusted with intergrown, but extremely well-formed super-glossy deep emerald-green Dioptase crystals, the largest of which reaches 1.2 cm in length. A small area on one side of the piece is uncovered with Dioptase, providing a lovely contrasting white colour to the darker, green Dioptase surrounding it. The white Calcite is also nicely crystallized.
