Originally described during the late 1800s, this rare lead tin iron antimony sulphide is surprisingly abundant in a cluster of mines surrounding the town of Poopó in Oruro Department, Bolivia with the Type Locality recorded as Santa Cruz mine. However, specimens are typically trimmed quite small, making this small cabinet-sized specimen from Santa Cruz mine a very good size. The individual crystals reach 3 cm in length and form very nice intergrown radiating sprays which present its classic shape really well and with a strong bright metallic lustre which is sometimes absent from specimens due to rubbing and abrasion.
