Usually only seen in microcrystals, a small discovery in 2013 at Lily mine in Ica Department, Peru produced unusually blocky, but also significantly larger crystals of Clinoatacamite than previously known. This extremely rich miniature specimen from this find displays the classic assemblage of a Quartz-lined cavity (possibly also with some Gypsum) with excellent deep green glossy Clinoatacamite crystals to 5 mm across sat upon the Quartz in the middle of the cavity. The Quartz shows areas of paler green inclusions which are reported to be Malachite.
