{"product_id":"cassiterite-var-stream-tin","title":"CASSITERITE var. Stream Tin","description":"This interesting 'Stream Tin' Cassiterite specimen comes from the unusual locality of Paul, which is a village, but also a wider parish to the south of Penzance in Cornwall. Covered in a plethora of old labels, the specimen is about one-third of a broken rounded pebble, trimmed back in the 1800s to expose the fresh internal surface of a distinctive stripy rock caused by a repeated sequence of layers from brown-grey (Cassiterite), white (Quartz) and creamy-beige (Feldspar). The number labels are all attached to the rounded outer pebble surface and include a no. 606 from Thomas Bellerby Wilson (1807-1865), a 192.42 from the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection, a painted 1722, also from the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection and a small printed no. 1249 from the Bruce Grant Collection. The specimen is also accompanied by a Dr. T.B. Wilson card label from the Philadelphia Academy of Sciences and a printed Bruce Grant Collection label. A great old-time Cornish stream tin from an unusual locality as well as showing distinctive textures.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46793869590703,"sku":"CC56068","price":450.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC56068.png?v=1780563831","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/cassiterite-var-stream-tin","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
