{"product_id":"cassiterite-9","title":"CASSITERITE","description":"A number of mines surround the historic mining town of Horn' Slavkov in the Karlovy Vary Region of Bohemia in the Czech Republic.  Simplistically, these can be divided into a uranium ore deposit and a tin-tungsten deposit, yet the overall mineralogy is complex and of the almost one hundred known species, many are rare minerals.  This specimen is however something very familiar, Cassiterite, and is a superb example of a perfectly twinned crystal.  An ex. matrix miniature, the Cassiterite is opaque jet-black with a highly reflective metallic lustre, over which are sparsely scattered granular Quartz grains of lemon-tinged cream.  The Cassiterite twin is bisected by deep re-entrant faces all of which display the twinning crystallography magnificently.  This specimen comes with the previous German collector's card label who accessioned it in 1984.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46545169350831,"sku":"CC19717","price":1500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC19717.png?v=1770375444","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/cassiterite-9","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
