{"product_id":"cassiterite-152","title":"CASSITERITE","description":"This dense, richly crystallized historic Cornish Cassiterite specimen from Old Beam mine in the St Austell District has great pedigree, coming from the famous collection of Col. Sir William Serjeant (1857-1930) who lived at St. Benet's Abbey, Lanivet. His distinctive octagonal blue-rimmed handwritten labels (used for his British specimens) are highly collectible, and the one attached to the back of this specimen is in very good condition. Not only that but this piece is well-crystallized too, with a thick vein of mid-brown resinous Cassiterite terminated on one side with large (to over 1 cm) crystals, which although not gemmy are significant. Before his death, Serjeant sold his mineral collection to Plymouth Museum but during the 1970s many of his specimens were exchanged by the museum with mineral dealers who then sold them on, or kept them in their own private collections. Ex Bruce Grant Collection and ex Peter Golley Collection.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46793870082223,"sku":"CC56116","price":400.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC56116.png?v=1780563115","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/cassiterite-152","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
