{"product_id":"calcite-with-malachite-9","title":"CALCITE with MALACHITE","description":"It seems strange to say it about Calcite, or Malachite, but the combination of both is a rarity at Bisbee, and specimens of Calcite with Malachite inclusions are some of the hardest things to find available. This wonderful old-timer is accompanied by labels from the Edna D. Doughty Collection (no. 342) and one showing that is was purchased by R. Hauck in 1978. However, the most important label is an East Coast Mineral Corp one, whose address dates it to pre-1949. This flat, plate-like specimen which sits nicely in the palm of ones hand, consists of a layer of pale cream coloured scalenohedral Calcite crystals, the largest of which reaches 7 mm in length. In several areas these crystals are coloured emerald-green, caused by acicular needles of green Malachite forming radiating sprays which are now encapsulated within the Calcite. On the back of the specimen in fractures within the layered rock matrix, acicular sprays of Malachite can be seen with no Calcite overgrowth and unidentified brown rosetted microcrystals await identification. An important historic specimen from Bisbee.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":47307823677615,"sku":"CC63102","price":3500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC63102.png?v=1785840654","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/calcite-with-malachite-9","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
