{"product_id":"calcite-on-schalenblende-1","title":"CALCITE on Schalenblende","description":"Wiesloch is a famous old lead-zinc mining area with its history dating back to the Romans. In more recent times, the last mine, Segen Gottes, closed during the 1950s and specimens are not seen very often in collections. This rather weird miniature specimen shows the typical fine-grained banded zinc ore - schalenblende - but in a more unusual highly elongated stalactitic form and overgrown by very sharp elongated 'dogs-tooth' Calcite crystals. These Calcite crystals are in quite good condition but spray out in different directions, the longest reaching 1.8 cm in length. This piece is accompanied by two old handwritten labels, the full details of which require translation, but their style appears to be mid-20th century, perhaps around when the last mine closed. Ex Martin and Michael Günther (1951-2007 \u0026amp; 1956-2021) Collection.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46792377303215,"sku":"CC27407","price":500.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC27407.png?v=1787057523","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/calcite-on-schalenblende-1","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
