{"product_id":"calcite-on-quartz-3","title":"CALCITE   on QUARTZ","description":"Geevor mine is well known for its remarkable suite of fine Calcite and Quartz specimens and this is a great example.  The upper surface of a flat plate of milky Quartz has developed as 2 to 4 cm tall Quartz crystals all with salmon to terracotta pink surfaces.   The morphology of every Quartz crystal is that of a chisel edged termination rather than a pointed apex, in which two opposite faces have grown wide against each other.    The Calcite has been deposited preferentially, coating three faces from one direction; viewed from the opposite direction, the remaining three faces (and terminations) are free of Calcite.  The Calcite forms as foliated curved plates, usually saddle-shaped and up to about 5 mm in various shades of cream and mid salmon pink.  It's a splendid cabinet specimen from the Coronation Lode at Geevor mine, Pendeen, St. Just Cornwall.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46584790614191,"sku":"CC32761","price":450.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC32761.png?v=1771856547","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/calcite-on-quartz-3","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
