The specimen is dominated by one large single colourless Calcite crystal of good transparency, with shallow bevelled edges and a slight misty frosting over all its faces.  Despite the frosting, the degree of transparency is more than sufficient to allow the detailed textures of the underlying Malachite to be seen through the prisms.  Examined close to, the emerald green Malachite forms fuzzy, velvety mounds and botryoidal undulations.
