{"product_id":"calcite-450","title":"CALCITE","description":"Well-known to collectors during the 1980s, the small Fall Hill quarry, near Ashover in Derbyshire occasionally produced fine, cream, to amber-coloured scalenohedral Calcite crystals in the classic 'Derbyshire' form. This lovely miniature specimen was obtained by its former owner in 1993 and is really rather well-crystallized for the locality. Forming a small double-sided aggregate of mostly doubly-terminated scalenohedra, it can be displayed from either side. The largest doubly-terminated Calcite crystal reaches 4.3 cm in length. On the other side, the largest crystal reaches 3.6 cm in length. Then, on one edge a 2.8 cm long 'macle' twinned scalenohedral crystal is seen. The Calcite crystals all show some minor chipping to their tips, but have excellent translucency and are in great condition around their sides, but with small patchy creamy-white frosted inclusions. Ex Malcolm Southwood Collection, no. MS 1993.100.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46793755918511,"sku":"CC48006","price":240.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC48006.png?v=1784021768","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/calcite-450","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
