{"product_id":"calcite-353","title":"CALCITE","description":"With an attractive orange-red colour, this wedge-shaped small cabinet-sized stepped aggregate of rhombic Calcite crystals from Tsumeb mine is coloured by inclusions of iron oxides (specifically Hematite) but these inclusions are concentrated more heavily towards the crystal edges, producing a lovely zonation in colour. To add to its lovely appearance these Calcite crystals display a very fine, somewhat pearlescent lustre, and on the back of the specimens a light dusting of green appears to be the rare species Duftite - a clear indication if one was needed of its affiliation to Tsumeb mine. There is a little light bruising to the edges of a few Calcite crystals towards one side of the display surface but these are hardly noticeable and are probably not impact damage, but natural contacts where the crystals touched upon others within the original cavity.
