This mine has the reputation of having produced the finest Baryte-Malachite combination specimens anywhere in the DR Congo, most of which were collected during the late 1990s. The contrast between the rippled, dark forest green glossy botryoidal Malachite matrix, and the striking colour-zoned glassy coffin-shaped Baryte crystals which sit on top is superb. The Baryte crystals are extremely well-formed and transition from colourless to white at their base up to beige brown to golden at their tips. These Baryte crystals reach up to 1.5 cm in length.
