{"product_id":"baryte-on-calcite-1","title":"BARYTE on CALCITE","description":"This excellent large miniature from Peak Hill at Sidmouth in Devon, England, displays splendid gemmy, golden straw yellow blades of Baryte which grade to almost colourless terminations.  The tallest crystals measure almost 2.5 cm and line the curved concave surface of a crystallised Calcite covered vug in a mixed, greenish cream and deep orange marl.  The Baryte veins occur high up in the cliff face of Peak Hill, a hill, half of which is exposed to the English Channel.  Baryte can be collected following rock falls from the cliff, of which there are many each year.  Although collecting pleasantly takes place on the beach with spectacular views all round, it is a highly dangerous site as rocks are constantly falling from the cliff and if one were to make a direct hit, it would probably be curtains for that collector!  Under LWUV the Baryte fluoresces bright buttermilk yellow, aesthetically contrasting against the non-fluorescent Quartz and marl.","brand":"Crystal Classics","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46584057725103,"sku":"CC15110","price":250.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0710\/8516\/2671\/files\/CC15110.png?v=1771842553","url":"https:\/\/crystalclassics.com\/products\/baryte-on-calcite-1","provider":"Crystal Classics","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
