{"product_id":"baryte-96","title":"BARYTE","description":"Renowned for exceptional golden- to amber-coloured, glossy, thick bladed Baryte crystals, the Pöhla-Tellerhäuser mine in the Schwarzenberg District, Saxony, Germany is one of the world's most important localities for this species. The brighest amber-coloured crystals tend to be those that are smaller (3 to 4 cm long) and which form as rich coverings on matrix, but this colossal, long but thick, tabular to bladed orthorhombic Baryte crystal is much darker orange-brown in colour but still with an exceptionally glossy lustre and with fine colour-zoning, with a paler colour around its edges and with flashes of brilliant orange from internal reflections. Fully terminated at both ends, it is actually a twinned crystal, with a 9 cm long main crystal with a 4 cm crystal rising as an extension. On a small piece of rock matrix, the Baryte crystal\/s are in truly exceptional condition and surely represents one of the finest Baryte crystals known from this relatively modern classic occurrence.
