Zacatecas in Mun. de Zacatecas, Mexico has long been known as a source of some of the best Arsenopyrite crystals and this small cabinet specimen is a fine demonstration of this. Forming a flat plate, excellent prisms of grey metallic Arsenopyrite and a few isolated 'needle' Quartz crystals rise up from a bed of massive Arsenopyrite. The individual Arsenopyrite crystals display the classic rhomic cross-sectional form and reach up to 1.2 cm in length.
