It features many hundreds of tiny, glassy, pointed Apophyllite crystals overgrowing and associated with the distinctive classic pseudohexagonal prisms of Calcite from this famous mining region. One label appears to mention a date of 1854, whilst another the name Scharff who could be the German geologist who published papers during the 1880s.
