They have an almost 'crystal model'-like appearance to them and reach up to 8 mm across. It is the dark chocolate-brown rims to the crystal edges that draws the eye the most, and at certain angles, in an optical illusion, these orange-brown dodecahedral crystals look like cubes. These crystals are perched upon a flattish aggregate of buff-coloured altered Hedenbergite.
