Reaching an impressive 2.4 cm in length, this deep olive-green, distinctly flattened, modified trapezohedral crystal is extremely well-crystallized and although it is on matrix, it can be viewed at many angles because of the way it is 'perched' with a very small area of attachment. Although quite dark in colour, its faces are quite glassy and display excellent parallel growth lines typical of garnet crystals. An extremely fine Namibian garnet crystal.
